Hormone Paris This is Not Testosterone is a rich oriental-woody fragrance created by perfumer Kevin Mathys as an olfactory interpretation of energy, confidence, and inner strength. The composition is inspired by the idea of the hormone testosterone, commonly associated with determination and activity, yet the fragrance conveys not a literal sense of strength but a complex combination of warmth, sensuality, and character. The scent is built around spicy nuances, gentle sweetness, and a deep woody-musky base, resulting in a composition that feels expressive and modern. This is a unisex fragrance, although its intense spicy-woody character and warm gourmand base are often perceived as slightly more suitable for men.
The composition opens with a vibrant combination of grapefruit, cardamom, and cinnamon, creating an energetic introduction with spicy freshness and a subtle citrus bitterness.
