Montale Infinity is a rich niche fragrance from the French brand Montale, created by perfumer Pierre Montale. The eau de parfum was released in 2023 and belongs to the oriental woody and fruity-spicy fragrance family. The composition is a unisex scent suitable for both men and women. However, due to the intense combination of woody, leathery and tobacco nuances, the fragrance is often perceived as more expressive on men, while its sweet fruity accents also make it appealing for women.
The fragrance is built around the contrast between juicy fruit notes and deep oriental tones.
The perfumer aimed to create a bold and multifaceted composition where the sweetness of ripe fruits blends with noble oud, leather and a warm amber-vanilla base. As a result, the fragrance feels bright, sensual and very modern, creating the atmosphere of a luxurious oriental perfume.
The composition opens with a rich fruity-spicy accord.
The top notes feature black cherry, plum, saffron, pink pepper and cardamom. The sweetness of cherry and plum creates a juicy and expressive opening, while the spicy nuances of saffron and cardamom add warm depth and a subtle piquant character.
Heart notes
In the heart of the fragrance, deeper woody and floral tones unfold. Here, notes of oud, leather, Indian rose, sandalwood, vetiver and tuberose appear. Oud and leather give the scent a noble oriental character, while rose and tuberose soften the composition with floral elegance. Sandalwood and vetiver enhance the woody depth of the fragrance.
Base & dry-down
The base forms a dense and very long-lasting trail. It combines tobacco leaf, vanilla sugar, tonka beans, amber and musk. These notes create a warm, slightly sweet and sensual accord that adds gourmand depth and makes the fragrance especially expressive on the skin.
